The Giving Heart is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2005. Our two signature outreach opportunities consist of the Annual Community Thanksgiving Day Feast and the Secret Senior Valentine Gift distribution.  Since the beginning, the organization has proudly hosted the Annual Community Thanksgiving Day Feast at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. This free event focuses on inviting all to partake in the meal, with an emphasis on our elderly neighbors, those in homeless or less fortunate situations, local military or first responders, and anyone who would normally spend Thanksgiving alone. Over the years, this all-volunteer staff event has prepared and provided meals for anywhere from approximately 1,000 and, in more recent years, up to 5,000. In addition, The Giving Heart presents an Annual Secret Senior Valentine Gift Distribution outreach event.  This event affords the organization and its volunteers an opportunity to prepare and deliver gift bags to seniors identified as living independently and otherwise would not have an opportunity to be recognized on Valentine's Day.  We also stand ready to be of service to the community in support of the efforts of other non-profit organizations as well during critical times.
